Hi Everyone!
Believe it or not, spring is around the corner! I know with all the
snow and cold and “cabin fever” you may not believe it, but it is true.
With spring comes renewal and change and I am hoping that many of you
will find a way to reflect that in yourself and your programs.
Much has been accomplished this winter and I would like to thank all
of you who supported training and our special financial day at the
Rockport library in snow and cold and cancellations. You are the
heartiest day care professionals in Cleveland!
A word about cancellations, if we need to cancel because of the
weather, we attempt to call all who are registered and we attempt to
contact the weather alert system of channel 8 and have the announcement
made public. We have calculated that we cannot hold training for less
than 5 students and pay our trainer and overhead. That makes it very
important that you register. If you do not register, and we find that
less than 5 have registered we have to cancel the class. Only people
who have registered can be called. We cannot “guess” who else might
come. Our hope is with spring coming we will have greater participation
and we will not have to cancel for this reason in the future. Much time
and effort goes into the preparation of the classes and we trainers are
disappointed also when we have to cancel classes.
As the earth renews itself, it is a good time to help children
understand about change and our responsibility toward the earth. Please
plan at least one activity around this theme and share it with us so
that we can put it in the next newsletter.
Continue to “hang in there” and “Think Spring”!
