"Invest In Children" Formerly "Early Childhood Initiative"
The "Invest In Children" program is a program dedicated to helping you
be the very best provider you can be, through training support, technical
assistance visits, Thelma Harms assessments and a connection with all other
community support, services and resources. When you participate in the
"Invest In Children" program, you agree to to complete the following activities
offered by Neighborhood Child Care:
- You agree to complete up to 11 technical assistance contacts to assist you
with curriculum, developing activities for children, business practices,
billing and/or any other area of technical assistance you need (Including
USDA visits if you are enrolled in the USDA Program)
- You agree to complete 2 Thelma Harms assessments in your home which are
intended to assist Family Child Care Providers with improving the quality of
the activities and curriculum that are provided to their children. The 2 assessments
will be included in your technical assistance contacts.
- You agree to participate in 3 in-service trainings that will be made
available by Neighborhood Child Care.
- You agree to register or continue listing your Family Child Care Home with
Starting Point in their Resource and Referral Data Bank. This listing is
provided to parents in need of child care services.
- You agree that you will maintain a current Type B certification status
with Cuyahoga County Work & Training.
Upon completing of the "Invest In Children" program you will receive a
Certificate of Completion to promote your services.
