This type of approval comes through the Cuyahoga County Department of Human Services.  It allows you to take both private (a parent who pays you directly) and county (a parent who has a voucher for payment of day care services by the county department of human services) clients.  The requirements listed below are for Cuyahoga county.  Please call me, if you are from Lake, Lorain or Medina county.  We will put you in contact with your Department of Human Service.  Your requirements may be somewhat different.

Requirement	Cost	How do I do this?
Training	Because of a grant from the Cuyahoga County Commissioners , there is no fee to you at the present time.	You must take 30 hours of training.  To register for training with us call 252-0094 or complete the online registration form on the training page.
Inspections	No charge	Our Pre-Certification Specialists will come to your home for an inspection after you finish training.
Medical Exam	Varies	Completed by your own physician.  You will get a form at training to have completed by your doctor.
Equipment	Varies	You must have, at least, smoke detectors on each floor of home, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit & a working telephone. You must have a crib for each infant you intend to watch.  You will be given a complete list at training.  Help with purchasing equipment can sometimes be provided if you qualify.
